My First Gallery Show

In a magical turn of events, I found myself involved with the Fuller Art Lodge art gallery opening. The name of the exhibit was "In Motion." I was so excited to be there and to meet other artists and share the evening.
It was so exciting and nerve-wracking walking into the gallery, but I found that artists are warm and interesting. Each one had a story or a process unlike the others. To speak to another artist about your shared passion is delightful, to feel understood and to see the spark of innovation and creation.
This is my community. I am finally understood.
Our community center in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is just recovering from the COVID-19 shutdown. It takes time and resources to ignite programs. I was asked to teach art classes at the lodge and have taught watercolor, charcoal, and acrylic painting techniques.
I hope we can continue to take new opportunities and run with them, not being afraid of failure or mistakes.
I just want to take a moment to be grateful, this is my dream life. I have felt so amazing, just painting and dreaming. I love connecting with intuition and letting these painting talk to me. I hope they speak to you, and help you feel less alone in this world.
I've been painting watercolor portraits for my lovely talented sister in law.
It is a favorite thing to study a face and see the unique features that make up a friend.
I'm nearly finished with that commission, and then presto! In the mail and on it's way.
As school draws a close and summer break looms, I start to wonder what I will do with myself. My schedule will need to be fought for, and my time wisely set.

Congratulations!! You look beautiful and so does your art! I am so glad to see your magic enter the world and make it a more colorful, vibrant, fun place!
